Business Profile

Painting and drawing has always been an interest of mine throughout my life. My earliest memory of engaging with art was watching the children in my class ‘doodle’. Ever since then I have thought of drawing and painting as ‘magic’, it is this magic I want to share with you.
I have a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art (specialising in painting and drawing) from the University of Plymouth (Exeter), and an Adult Education Teachers' Certificate. I have a sound knowledge of a wide variety of painting and drawing media, including watercolours, gouache, acrylics, charcoal and pastels, and for several years have taught art to mixed ability classes.
I avoid an over complicated approach to painting and drawing, but prefer a simple, 'less is more' approach – and this shows through in my teaching.

These painting classes in Garstang, Preston and St Annes on Sea, in Lancashire, are suitable for all abilities from the absolute beginner to the more advanced student.

The programme covers both a range of subjects and a range of painting media, to make for interesting classes. Subjects typically included in the programme are skies, trees, beach scenes, greeting cards and much more. Using various painting mediums including watercolour, gouache, pastels, etc.
